Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components used in advanced defense and maritime technologies. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform precision assembly work while meeting quality and production standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assembly Operations Assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Perform sub-assembly and final assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and measuring devices. Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards. Read and interpret assembly instructions, production documentation, and engineering drawings. Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Quality Assurance Inspect components and finished assemblies for defects and conformance to specifications. Identify and report quality concerns or production issues. Support first-pass yield and quality improvement initiatives. Follow all quality management procedures and documentation requirements. Ensure work is completed in compliance with ISO and defense manufacturing standards. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Comply with government contract requirements and facility security procedures. Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Collaboration Work effectively with production, quality, engineering, and manufacturing support teams. Cross-train in multiple assembly areas as needed. Assist with production schedule requirements and overtime when necessary. Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and follow written work instructions in English. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred 1+ year of manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or related experience. Experience assembling electronic or electro-mechanical products. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. Prior experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or electronics manufacturing environments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Mechanical aptitude Fine motor skills Quality-focused mindset Problem-solving ability Dependability and attendance reliability Ability to work independently and within a team Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to learn multiple assembly processes Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift. Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly tasks.
Ability to lift:
Up to 10 pounds regularly Up to 25 pounds frequently Up to 50 pounds occasionally Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive motion activities. Ability to distinguish colors and small components accurately. Ability to work with small parts requiring close visual attention. Work Environment Climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, tools, and production processes. Moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment. Team-oriented production setting focused on quality and continuous improvement. Security Requirements Due to the nature of defense-related programs and government contracts, candidates must be eligible to meet applicable U.S. government employment and security requirements.
