Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for Machine Operator include but are not limited to:

• Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area.
• Perform all of the following tasks: pressing, forming, milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations, as well as the inspection of them.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.
• Report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team.
• Complete reports and answer inquires, as requested or assigned.
• Accurately record all material usage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent attendance and safety record
• Knowledge of basic machine functions
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically

Excel Preferred Qualifications:

CNC/Burn Table Experience 1 year experience in a production environment. Open communication Understanding of machine setup and tear down. Use of HMIs Overhead crane experience Basic understanding of automation Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
