Job Description

Laser Operator Job Summary:
The laser Operator will keep the laser running while inspecting parts and loading material.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares, sets up, and adjusts the laser as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available. Measures and aligns materials to be used. Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications. Performs routine maintenance on the laser. Maintains a clean work area. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate the lasers. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans. Basic computer and math skills. Forklift training recommended
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to operate the laser and forklift. Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
