POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the operation of production equipment to produce quality products meeting customer specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SET-UP has been trained to run all of the equipment and jobs within the department. He consistently meets or exceeds production standards and/or expectations. Under the direction of the shift manager or instruction of a team leader, the set-up operator will be assigned to setup equipment upon which he has been trained. With extensive knowledge in tooling, machine capabilities, procedures in setting, and machine operation Will be able to set machines from standardized work instructions and/or written instructions. The operator should acquire personal hand tools related to the various machines, which he/she will be required to operate or assist in operating as well as for set up and adjustments. Must maintain a safe, clean, orderly and hazard-free work area, promote safety at all times and have knowledge of all safety rules, seeing that all work is done in a safe manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent training or work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of arithmetic. Knowledge of blueprint reading.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures. Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations. Report any environmental concerns to Supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Plant manager.
