Stamping Technologist General Stamping & Metalworks - 3.4 South Bend, IN Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program Vision insurance Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Ensures tooling, programs, and equipment are ready and optimized for efficient production. Supports process improvements and minimizes downtime. Reporting Reports to the Engineering Manager. Collaborates across teams and halts unsafe or incorrect operations when necessary. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and programs for production Oversee first runs and troubleshoot complex parts Order supplies and manage tool libraries Optimize operation sequences for safety and efficiency Support continuous improvement and preventive maintenance Proficiency in SolidWorks and OEM software Experience with stamping, bending, welding, and laser technologies Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Education & Experience High school diploma required; SolidWorks training preferred 2+ years in machine operation or programming What We Do General Stamping & Metalworks is a leading supplier of stampings and assemblies to the North American solar power industry, which is forecasting another decade of double-digit growth.
