Job Title:
Machine Operator / Production Operator- $19.50 Job Description The Machine Operator / Production Operator safely operates and maintains production machinery to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to standardized procedures, and effective teamwork to support high manufacturing standards in precision automotive components. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently to meet production targets. Follow standardized work instructions, operating procedures, and safety regulations at all times. Inspect equipment regularly and perform routine Total Quality Maintenance (TQM) checks to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other hand tools to verify they meet quality specifications. Perform quality assurance, quality control, and quality inspection activities on parts and assemblies. Work on general production and assembly lines, including machine operation and general labor tasks as needed. Identify and report mechanical, safety, or production issues promptly to the appropriate personnel. Track hourly production results accurately and communicate equipment status and any abnormalities to supervisors. Support continuous improvement efforts by following best practices and suggesting process improvements when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Essential Skills Experience in production, machine operation, or general production work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate and monitor manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to follow standardized procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines consistently. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing minor issues. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. High school diploma or GED. Ability to regularly lift up to 35 lbs, including to chest height when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC machines, press brake, or laser equipment. Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality inspection. Experience in assembly, assembly line work, or general labor in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with Total Quality Maintenance (TQM) practices. Interest in continuous learning and skill development to support pay increases tied to skill level improvements. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tell City, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40456.00 - $44000.00/yr. Responsibilities:
Safely run and oversee manufacturing equipment to meet daily output goals Perform work in accordance with documented processes, operational guidelines, and safety standards Complete routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance activities to support reliability and uptime Verify product quality by measuring components with precision tools and confirming they meet specifications Recognize equipment, quality, or safety concerns and escalate issues as needed Document production activity and share operational updates with leadership throughout the shift Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Tell City,IN.
