Job Description Machine Operator Baxter Springs, KS Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $19.50/hour

Available Shifts B-Shift:

7am•7pm , Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other

Saturday D-Shift:

7pm•7am , Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other

Saturday C-Shift:

7am•7pm , Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday Overview This position is responsible for producing product using high-speed paper converting equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Responsibilities Assist and function as back-up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities Assist with set-up and/or change over activities with in allotted time Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures Actively engage in safety programs Effectively communicate with team members across shifts Assist and train other team members as needed Perform other duties as assigned or needed Qualifications Minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker Record of dependability & reliability Willingness to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
