Batch Weigher/Mixer (Coatings)

Hours:
3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. Will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Edwardsville, KS. Batch Weigher/Mixer (Coatings) Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Clean and maintain machine to TPM Standards
  • Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-up batches: Follow process order of addition; shift auto and manual steps
  • Mix batch: Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow and adhere to all Mixer SOP's
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Run and maintain optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards
  • Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • Act as a QC liaison, provide ink samples, make ink adjustments, and record data
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot procedures

Requirements:
  • 3 months of work-related experience
  • Demonstrated good math and basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable to work assigned shift
  • Flexible to work overtime as required
  • Strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
  • Able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good attendance and punctuality
