Machine Operator - Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our team in a steel fabrication environment. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of steel components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operate fabrication machinery such as saws, presses, drills, CNC equipment, robotic beam line and burn table Set up machines according to specifications and production requirements Monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality and efficiency Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues as needed Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Maintain a clean and organized work area Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions Familiarity with measuring tools, such as tape measure Strong attention to detail and quality control Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to safely operate a forklift Dependable with strong work ethic and time management skills Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Ability to work independently and use sound judgment Willingness to learn through hands-on training and instruction Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift and handle materials (typically up to 75+ lbs.) Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in a manufacturing environment Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
