This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to the production of quality products in a fast-paced environment. Daily tasks may vary and provide opportunities to develop new skills while working as part of a team.

Requirements for the Assembly PositionPrevious assembly, manufacturing, production, construction, or related experience is helpful but not requiredAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety procedures, and work instructionsAbility to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and battery-powered toolsBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimalsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)Assembly ResponsibilitiesAssemble components according to production specifications and assembly sequencesUse drills, drivers, hand tools, and other production equipment safely and effectivelyComplete production documentation accuratelyFollow daily schedules and assignments while meeting quality and productivity standardsMaintain a clean and organized work areaInspect completed work to ensure quality standards are metSupport team goals while maintaining accountability for assigned workFollow all workplace safety proceduresPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements for the Assembly PositionStand for the majority of a 10-hour shiftFrequently bend, squat, push, pull, and liftOccasionally kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulder levelFrequently lift and carry up to 25 poundsOccasionally lift and carry up to 50 poundsWork in various positions, including overhead work and confined work areas as neededWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesFast-paced production settingPPE required, including safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves when applicableFrequent overtime opportunities based on production needsApply online or contact Penmac Independence (620)331-7600 for more information.
