Job Title:

Press Operator Job Description This role operates and maintains press lines in a modern manufacturing environment. You will perform die changeovers, carry out basic mechanical repairs, and support consistent, high-quality production. The position suits someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable with machine operation, and eager to work in a hands-on setting. Responsibilities Operate press lines safely and efficiently to meet production goals and quality standards. Set up and perform complete die changeovers on press equipment according to specifications. Perform basic mechanical repairs and adjustments on presses to minimize downtime. Monitor machine performance and product quality during operation, identifying and reporting issues promptly. Use hand tools and measuring devices, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required tolerances. Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for machine operation and changeovers. Support general labor and assembly tasks related to press operations as needed. Collaborate with quality control personnel to address nonconformances and maintain consistent product quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety policies and procedures. Assist with routine maintenance and inspections of press equipment to ensure reliable operation. Essential Skills Proven experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic mechanical tasks or repairs. Experience in general labor or assembly work in a production setting. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Proficiency with basic hand tools used in mechanical or manufacturing work. Manufacturing experience, preferably in a fast-paced production environment. Automotive or plastics manufacturing experience. Quality control experience, including inspecting parts and following quality procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in automotive or plastics production environments. Hands-on quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing. Comfort working with mechanical systems and learning new equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
