Job Title:
Machine Operator I - SBM Job Description This role oversees the production line from manufacturing through packaging, ensuring products are produced in the correct quantities, meet agreed specifications, and comply with all quality standards. The Machine Operator I works closely with team members and supervisors to support machine setup and changeovers, maintain accurate production records, and uphold a clean and efficient work area within a clean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the production line from initial production through final packaging. Ensure goods are produced and packaged in the correct quantities and in accordance with agreed specifications. Accurately record the quantity of goods produced and document any problems encountered during the shift. Monitor products throughout the process to ensure they meet all quality specifications. Assist Machine Operator II, Supervisors, and the Mold Change Team with mold and color changes as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure the team works together as efficiently and effectively as possible. Maintain good housekeeping standards within the department, keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all established procedures and guidelines related to machine operation, production, and packaging. Perform other duties as assigned to support production, packaging, and overall plant operations. Essential Skills Proven machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with machine operation, including starting, stopping, and monitoring equipment. Ability to perform set ups and changeovers, including assisting with mold and color changes. Strong reliability and dependability, with consistent attendance and punctuality. Capability to accurately record production data and issues encountered during shifts. Attention to detail to ensure products meet all quality and specification requirements. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Commitment to maintaining good housekeeping and adhering to cleanliness and organization standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general labor within a manufacturing or production setting. Experience operating multiple types of production or packaging machines. Comfort working with standard operating procedures and production documentation. Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed. Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, Machine Operator II, and the Mold Change Team. Why Work Here?
