Packaging Machine Operator Responsibilities:

Set up and operate automatic bagging machines to package finished product according to specifications for weight, count, and seal integrity. Monitor machine performance to ensure proper operation and adjust settings (speed, temperature, bag size) as needed to maintain consistent quality and efficiency. Perform routine quality checks, including verifying correct bag labels, lot codes, and weights on finished packages. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and report major issues to maintenance promptly. Load film and packaging materials into equipment and restock as needed to ensure continuous production. Maintain clean, organized work area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards (GMPs). Complete documentation such as production logs, downtime records, and quality checklists accurately and timely. Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth flow of product from slicing to palletizing. Follow all safety protocolsand participate in safety training or initiatives.
