Job Description
Back Process Operator @ Teche Energy Job Description The Process Operator is responsible for supporting plant operations by maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring equipment is properly monitored, and assisting with production quality and operational efficiency. This role involves performing routine operational checks, following safety procedures, and accurately completing required documentation. Employees are not limited to the following key roles and responsibilities and may be asked to perform additional duties, as required. Key Roles and Responsibilities Follow and adhere to all site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and company operational standards at all times to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and ensure it is maintained and in good condition. Identify and immediately report safety hazards, near-miss events, environmental concerns, and unsafe conditions to supervision. Attend and actively participate in both pre-shift and weekly safety meetings Ensure that all training and certifications are kept up to date in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements. Complete mobile equipment pre-checklist and turn into shift supervisor Perform area walk-around and complete checklists of assigned area at the beginning of and throughout the shift. Monitor and maintain radio communications with control room and crew members. Clearly communicate any operational issues throughout shift. Monitor for abnormal operating conditions such as leaks, unusual odors, spills, or equipment malfunctions and take appropriate action notifying shift supervisor Perform and participate in effective handover process at the beginning and ending of each shift Assist with and perform required feedstock and pellet cleanouts on equipment in assigned area to minimize process disruptions and non-productive time.
