Batching Operator •
TEMP TO HIRE
Reports to:
Bottling Manager Department:
Operations Job Summary :
Responsible for preparing, scaling, and blending ingredients to create food products to exact specifications. Ensures the highest standards of food safety, quality, and recipe consistency. Key Responsibilities 
Ingredient Preparation :
Weigh, measure, and select raw materials and ingredients according to approved standard operating procedures and batch recipes. 
Equipment Operation :
Set up, operate, and tend to mixing, blending, and cooking equipment (e.g., industrial vats, cookers, agitators). 
Quality Assurance :
Evaluate food product samples for taste, texture, color, and consistency. Monitor product parameters (e.g., temperature, acidity, moisture). 
Sanitation & Safety :
Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards. Clean, sanitize, and sterilize equipment and work areas before and after each batch. 
Documentation :
Accurately record production data, including ingredient lot numbers, batch weights, machine settings, and test results. 
Process Optimization :
Identify equipment malfunctions, report maintenance needs, and make routine, on-the-spot formula adjustments as needed. Qualifications & Skills 
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food/beverage manufacturing or a commercial kitchen environment. 
Education :
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 
Math & Analytical Skills:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic and make accurate mathematical scaling adjustments for recipe batch sizes. 
Physical Stamina :
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift or move heavy materials and ingredients (up to \(50\) lbs).  Attention to
Detail:
High precision in following detailed instructions and logging critical production data.
  • Must be okay with commuting to St. Rose, LA after 6 months
  • Training hours are Mon-Fri 7a-4p(2-3 weeks), work hours are 3pm-12am
  • Must be able to submit to a drug screen
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
