A Saw Operator operates and maintains a machine saw (such as an adjustable circular saw) to perform such operations as ripsawing, cross cutting, beveling, grooving, and mitering. Maybe responsible for tool set-up for different types of cut or for different material to be cut.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Operating saw machines
- Must be able to read a tape Measure
- Using hand and power tools
- Appropriate materials and tools to perform quality cuts of various metals such as aluminum, carbon steel, alloys
- Follow detail instructions for correct dimensions
- Inspecting completed work for quality and specifications at first piece and final cutting
- Perform minor machine maintenance such oil machines or work pieces
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fabrication shop environment
- Experience with various saw machines, tools and equipment for cutting metals such as aluminum, carbon steel, alloys a plus
- Able to follow custom dimensions/specifications
- Good math skills to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions
