Billerica, MA Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Plater & Anodizer to join our Operations team. In this role, you will operate plating and anodizing process lines to produce high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications, military and industry standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a production environment where quality and on-time delivery are critical.
Responsibilities:
Operate plating and anodizing process lines. Review job travelers, blueprints, and process specifications. Rack, wire, mask, clean, and prepare parts for processing. Calculate surface area, current density, voltage, and processing time. Monitor tank temperatures, agitation, and processing conditions. Inspect parts and verify coating thickness using micrometers and XRF equipment. Work with Quality and Operations to meet production schedules. Complete job documentation accurately. Follow all safety, chemical handling, and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of plating, anodizing, or metal finishing experience preferred. Manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to safely work with industrial chemicals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Mil-Spec or Nadcap experience is a plus. Why Join Us?
