Job Description
We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Packaging Technician II to join our team and help keep our facility, production equipment, and building systems running safely and efficiently. This is an important role in supporting day-to-day production by maintaining equipment, responding to issues, and helping prevent costly downtime. The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping equipment operating at its best. What You'll Do Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and routine inspections on production equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems and complete repairs to keep production running smoothly. Respond to equipment issues and make adjustments or emergency repairs while production lines are operating. Modify, fabricate, or improve equipment and parts to support production needs and increase efficiency. Assist with the installation of new equipment and contribute to process and equipment improvements. Maintain and troubleshoot key building and facility systems, including: Refrigeration systems Steam systems Wastewater treatment equipment Building environmental systems Monitor equipment and facility systems to help ensure they remain safe, dependable, and in proper working condition. Support seasonal facility needs, including clearing snow and ice from outdoor walkways and entrances during the winter months. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable diagnosing problems and finding practical solutions. A strong candidate will take ownership of their work and understand the importance of keeping equipment and production operating safely and reliably.
