< back to job board Machine Operators Overview Location Leominster Date posted August 13, 2026 Job type Full-time Description We are looking for Machine Operators to join a busy manufacturing environment on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role responsible for operating extrusion lines safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality and minimising waste. Successful applicants will be considered on a temp to perm, or permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing, with full training, ongoing support and opportunities for progression. Whether you already have manufacturing experience or have transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn, you will be supported by an experienced team to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
What you can expect:
Starting salary: circa £35,184 per annum / £16.11 per hour , based on an average 42-hour working week 4 on/4 off shift pattern , consisting of 2-day shifts (06:00-18:00) and 2-night shifts (18:00-06:00) Overtime available at time and a half during the week and double time at weekends Incremental pay increases as skills and capabilities development 20 shifts' holiday entitlement, with shutdowns in August and December Site-based bonus scheme, payable each December Highly subsidised on-site canteen Leominster based Full training and support from experienced colleagues Progression and development opportunities Free on-site car parking and bicycle storage Plus, additional benefits What you will be doing: Operating lines safely and efficiently to achieve production targets Monitoring line output, utilisation, scrap levels, quality and yield against targets Carrying out all required quality checks and testing in line with product specifications Ensuring products are manufactured according to specification sheets Recording accurate production data, including scrap, stop times and stop codes Reporting quality, production or equipment issues promptly to the team leader Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace Providing a clear and accurate handover to the incoming operator Working as part of the wider team and supporting continuous improvement initiatives What we are looking for: Ability to work a continental shift pattern is essential Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous A strong commitment to working safely and following health and safety procedures Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality The ability to work effectively towards production targets Good communication and teamwork skills A willingness to learn new skills and continually develop your knowledge
