Machine operator experience is preferred but not required, as we provide extensive training. We are currently looking for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator. Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining plastic film production equipment to ensure consistent product quality and efficient manufacturing flow. This role supports extrusion, winding, slitting, and converting processes while following strict safety, quality, and production standards. Key Responsibilities ? Machine Setup
  • Prepare and configure extrusion, winding, or slitting machines according to production specifications, including loading raw materials, adjusting settings, and verifying tooling. ? Production Monitoring
  • Observe machine performance, film gauge, width, clarity, and roll quality; make real-time adjustments to maintain product standards. ? Quality Inspection
  • Perform routine quality checks such as thickness measurements, visual inspections, and documentation of results. ? Troubleshooting
  • Identify and resolve issues such as web breaks, uneven winding, contamination, or temperature inconsistencies. ? Material Handling
  • Load resin, packaging materials, and finished rolls; operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed. ? Documentation
  • Maintain accurate production logs, downtime reports, and quality records. ? Preventive Maintenance
  • Assist with routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor mechanical adjustments. ? Safety Compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. Qualifications ? Manufacturing Experience
  • Prior experience in plastics, extrusion, converting, or similar industrial environments preferred. ? Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to understand machine functions, read gauges, and perform basic mechanical tasks. ? Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced production setting. ? Technical Skills
  • Basic math, measurement tools (micrometers, calipers), and ability to read production specs. ? Teamwork
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and other operators.
Third shift:
