Position Summary The Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing daily packaging operations including canning and kegging. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances production execution, quality control, and team development. You'll be expected to lead from the front—running the line, solving problems in real time, and setting the tone for efficiency, quality, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Lead daily packaging operations across canning lines and kegging/keg washing systems Train, supervise, and support Packaging Technicians and operators Set up, operate, and optimize packaging equipment to meet production goals Perform and oversee quality checks (DO/CO₂, fill weights, seam checks, etc.) Troubleshoot equipment and process issues independently and with maintenance support Execute packaging runs with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency Maintain production records, logs, and ERP entries Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and sanitation practices Lead cleaning (CIP), sanitation, and general packaging area organization Coordinate packaging materials and perform inventory counts Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in tight warehouse/production spaces Drive continuous improvement in packaging processes and team performance Qualifications 2+ years experience in beverage, food production, or manufacturing Prior leadership or lead operator experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience operating canning lines or similar packaging equipment strongly preferred Comfortable working with quality metrics and making real-time process adjustments Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Ability to lead a team while staying hands-on in production Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Google/Microsoft tools) Willingness and ability to operate a forklift in tight working conditions Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move for extended periods Ability to lift 50-60 lbs and handle full kegs with proper technique Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks (lifting, bending, twisting) What We're Looking For Someone who takes pride in running a clean, tight, efficient operation A steady presence on the floor who doesn't get rattled when things get busy A team player who works hard, communicates clearly, and contributes to a positive culture Someone who enjoys the process—cranking out great beer and working alongside good people

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
