Packaging Technician About Bent Water Brewing Co. Bent Water Brewing Co. is a production brewery based in Lynn, MA focused on brewing high-quality, hop-forward beers and lagers with a strong emphasis on consistency, process, and continuous improvement. We're a hands-on team that takes pride in doing things the right way—from raw materials to finished package. We work hard, keep things moving, and expect everyone on the team to contribute to a clean, efficient, and positive production environment. Position Summary The Packaging Technician supports all aspects of the packaging process, including canning, kegging, and keg washing. This is a hands-on role where you'll be actively involved in running packaging lines, maintaining quality standards, and keeping production moving efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who likes working with their hands, staying busy, solving problems, and being part of a team that takes pride in the final product. Key Responsibilities Operate canning lines, kegging systems, and keg washers Assist with setup, changeovers, and breakdown of packaging equipment Follow production schedules and ensure correct materials and formats are used Perform cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment (CIP and general cleaning) Monitor product quality (fill levels, seams, carbonation, etc.) and report issues immediately Maintain accurate production records and logs Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate when needed Assist with palletizing, packaging, and staging finished product Support inventory counts and material handling (cans, ends, kegs, packaging supplies) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in tight warehouse and production spaces (or be willing to learn) What You Bring Strong work ethic and reliability—you show up ready to work Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow SOPs and work safely in a production environment Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning packaging equipment Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills Preferred Experience Experience in a brewery, beverage, or manufacturing environment Experience operating packaging equipment (canning lines, kegging systems, etc.) Forklift experience Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and handle full kegs safely Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks (lifting, bending, twisting) Comfortable working in a wet, cold, and fast-paced production environment What It's Like to Work Here Fast-paced, hands-on production environment Tight team that works hard and supports each other High standards for quality, cleanliness, and efficiency A place where you can learn, improve, and take ownership of your work
