Job Description Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Make-up Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery and equipment with specified materials or solution(s).

Schedule:
Monday- Friday 05:45am - 4:00pm
Compensation:
Starting hourly rate of $21.00 an hour. A .50 an hour increase is given after 90 days of employment. A $3,000 retention bonus will be paid out in $1,000 increments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. Responsibilities Responsible for preparing and inspecting fabric batch rolls Performs inspection of fabric rolls and is the primary quality control check on all incoming fabric Knows and follows inspection procedures to properly record all defects on fabric rolls and documents either acceptance or rejection of rolls Removes rejected yardage from batch rolls during makeup operation Fills out all associated paperwork with regards to Make-up and Inspection and submits to Inspection Supervisor for review and approval Moves completed rolls to the decking area for use by Coating department Responsible for the correct operation of the Make-up machines to maintain productivity Ensures that a safe, clean, and healthy work environment is always maintained Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Basic reading, writing and math skills Must be able to read, write and speak basic English Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred Reliable transportation required Pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check required Successful candidate will have strengths in the following: Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with the use of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment Strong communication skills Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs. Positive and team-work focused attitude. Must work well with others. Good attendance record Attention to detail Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Trelleborg is a non-smoking property. The use of tobacco is not allowed onsite including outside of the facility.
