Manufacturing Associate I - Packaging Operator Kula Bio - 5.0 Natick, MA Job Details Full-time $29.25 - $31.25 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Kula Bio is building a new platform for microbial bioinoculants that unlock nitrogen naturally - reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Packaging Operator to ensure finished biofertilizer products are accurately packaged, labeled, and prepared for storage or shipment. What You'll Do Operate packaging equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines Weigh, fill, seal, label, and package finished products accurately and efficiently Prepare packaging materials and supplies to support daily production schedules Inspect finished products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications Complete production records, packaging logs, and inventory documentation accurately Maintain clean, organized packaging and production areas and perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance Move packaging materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production area Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly and support production activities as needed Assist with hoses, fittings, pumps, material handling, equipment preparation, and general fermentation support as directed Perform cleaning and sanitation of fermentation and production areas in accordance with SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements Assist with production changeovers, equipment staging, operational readiness, and cross-functional production initiatives In addition to primary packaging responsibilities, this role may support fermentation and production operations based on business needs. Who You Are High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a similar production environment preferred Able to follow written procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and GMP expectations Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Dependable team contributor who can also work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Basic mechanical aptitude and experience operating production equipment are a plus Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a production environment Reliable attendance and willingness to support production needs, including weekend availability Why Join Kula Bio Mission-driven work advancing sustainable agriculture Hands-on role supporting the quality and delivery of an innovative biofertilizer product Opportunity to contribute across packaging, fermentation, and production operations
