ANDRITZ is seeking a Machine Operator I to join our Paper Service team in Springfield, MA. This role is responsible for operating manual and automated equipment to machine precision components while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and automated manufacturing equipment. Operate knee mills, through-feed routers, CNC router tables, and related equipment. Machine long components accurately while meeting dimensional specifications. Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications. Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, indicators, and straightedges. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Support continuous improvement, quality standards, and team production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent work experience and knowledge. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating machining or production equipment. Experience with CNC equipment, manual equipment, router tables, or milling machines preferred. Ability to read drawings, follow instructions, and work with tight tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality. Experience with polymer or composite materials, CNC controls, or hand finishing is a plus. Why Join ANDRITZ?
