- Job Title: Plater
- Job Description
- The plater will clean, plate, and inspect a variety of parts in a production environment, ensuring consistent quality and accurate documentation throughout the process. This position involves repetitive tasks once the process is learned, and requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Responsibilities
- + Inspect parts before, during, and after processing to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
+ Prepare products for plating by cleaning and staging parts to ensure they are ready for processing.
+ Place parts into plating baths, monitor and time the process accurately, and remove parts according to established procedures.
+ Process all assigned parts independently while keeping track of processing times and maintaining workflow.
+ Document each piece plated, including counts, times, and any relevant process information, to ensure accurate records.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following workplace organization and housekeeping standards.
+ Work collaboratively in a group setting, supporting team members and assisting where needed to meet production goals.
+ Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures related to plating, handling materials, and using equipment.
- Essential Skills
- + Ability to lift up to 45 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
+ Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with others on shared tasks.
+ Ability to work in an environment that can become warm during production.
+ Comfort with repetitive tasks and the discipline to maintain focus and accuracy over time.
+ Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and recording information.
+ Reliable work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to help where needed.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience in production, assembly, warehouse, manufacturing, labor, crew work, or construction is helpful but not required. + Willingness to learn plating processes and follow detailed instructions. + Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed after training. + Openness to cross-training and taking on different tasks within the plating area.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Springfield, MA.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
