Ingots Processor / Powder Processor Technician (Multiple Shifts) Job Description This role supports the manufacturing of custom ceramic components used in cell phones and other electronics by processing ceramic powders and ingots with precision and care. You will measure and mix ceramic powder and water, operate blending and milling equipment, and follow detailed process instructions to create consistent, high-quality ceramic materials. The position requires strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work safely in a dusty and occasionally wet production environment while handling materials up to 50-60 pounds on a regular basis. Responsibilities Measure and load ceramic powders and water into mixers to create precise batch mixtures for ceramic components. Produce custom ceramic powders by loading dry raw material powders into blending tanks and milling vessels to create homogeneous mixtures and reduce particle size. Operate drying ovens and load dry mixtures into ceramic saggers for thermal processing according to written procedures. Perform spray drying of ceramic slurry mixtures, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to process parameters. Keep accurate and up-to-date batch records, including both electronic and written documentation of materials, process steps, and test results. Perform in-process tests as required to verify quality and consistency of ceramic powders and mixtures. Read and follow detailed written instructions, process documents, and safety protocols for all production activities. Work cleanly and carefully with powders and water to maintain a controlled processing environment and prevent contamination. Regularly lift and move materials weighing 50-60 pounds throughout the shift, including loading and unloading equipment. Clean all processing equipment, including mixers, blending tanks, milling vessels, and spray drying equipment, to maintain safe and efficient operation. Follow all safety guidelines and use proper protective equipment while working in dusty and wet processing conditions. Collaborate with team members and shift personnel to support continuous production across multiple shifts. Train on first shift for an initial period (typically 2-3 months) before transitioning to assigned shift, applying learned procedures consistently. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to regularly lift 50-60 pounds throughout the workday. Ability to work safely and effectively in wet processing conditions and dusty environments. Ability to read and follow written instructions to mix batches and perform powder processing tasks. Capability to maintain accurate electronic and written records of batch data and in-process tests. Basic math skills sufficient to measure and calculate correct material portions and ratios. Ability to work cleanly and carefully when handling powder and water to maintain product quality. Willingness and ability to work assigned shifts, including first, second, or third shift, with initial training on first shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong math and computer skills to support precise measurements and electronic recordkeeping. Mechanical aptitude to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot processing and mixing equipment. Ability to interpret and follow detailed process instructions and standard operating procedures.
