Job Description
Overview:
Join the Sunday River team as a full-time or part-time Rental Technician. Work in a lively environment at our rental shop, helping fit our guests for appropriate ski and snowboard equipment. Must enjoy working as part of a team and be able to deliver exceptional customer service. Knowledge and passion about skis, snowboards, and the sport itself is a must! Team members must be available to work on specified days during the busiest times of the season, which include weekends and holidays.Responsibilities:
Rental Tech responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Report to work on time for every shift dressed in uniform and wearing your nametag and timecard. Accept training and pass binding certification test as required. Verify that the rental form is completed and signed by guests. Demonstrate knowledge of proper boot fit and selection. Select the proper ski and binding or snowboard and binding, along with adjusting to proper settings. Physically help fit customers with equipment and make all proper adjustments. Inspect equipment for damage. Explain in detail to the customer how bindings operate. Maintain accurate records and signed forms. Support Shop Mechanic in all binding testing and equipment repairs (as requested). Learn about all rental and retail equipment, PT clinics, ticketing process and pricing. Stay up to date on all resort safety trainings and event schedules. Support supervisor / manager at requested tasks (cleaning, painting, moving and counting inventory). Keep all work areas clean and neat. Work outside the department as needed.Qualifications:
This is an entry-level position that does not require prior training. All the necessary training will be provided on the job and staff should demonstrate good performance of their job tasks within a two-week time frame. Knowledge about skiing and/or snowboarding is crucial to the success of the position. Must be at least 16 years old Compensation & Benefits Wage ranges from $15.75 - $18 per hour, depending on experience Team Member Perks include: Season Pass, resort discounts, and access to other Boyne Resorts amenities.
