Job Description

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is hiring afternoon shift Laser Operators to join their team in Baraga, Michigan . Laser North is a state-of-the-art laser cutting, machining, and fabrication shop with modern equipment, more than 100,000 square feet of production space, and a skilled team that knows how to rise to a challenge. We are looking for people who take pride in doing good work, staying safe, and keeping production moving. Afternoon Shift:
Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am. What You'll Do. Operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts that meet customer specifications. You read work instructions and prints, load materials, monitor the cutting process, check finished parts, and make sure each job is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
You also:
Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment. Read prints, job travelers, work orders, and specifications. Measure parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and finish. Monitor machine performance and communicate issues quickly. Handle materials safely and follow proper lifting practices. Keep your work area clean, organized, and production-ready. Support other production areas when needed.
What We're Looking For:
You do not need to know everything on day one. Previous laser, CNC, machining, fabrication, or manufacturing experience is helpful, but Laser North will train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
