Job Description

Growing automotive manufacturer seeks experienced Tool Room Leaders, Tool and Die Repairmen, as well as Tool Makers. Familiarity with metal stampings and extrusions are a plus. Pay is commensurate with experience.
SIGN-ON BONUS OF
$1,000.00 AFTER 120 DAYS!
Duties include the following:
Assist in die tryout runs and first piece approval runs. Assist in troubleshooting non-conforming production processes. Follow the Die Maintenance Form when repairing dies. Assist in die modifications to support Quality requirements. Make sections, punches, buttons, etc. per documented design drawing requirements. Ability to use the machining equipment and build to print. Use the Tool Room equipment, including lathes, milling, surface grinder, and radial drill. Notify the Tool Room Manager of any problems immediately. Take direction from the Tool Room Manager. In the Tool Room Manager's absence, take direction from the Tool Room Leader, Shift Supervisor, or Plant Manager. Knowledge of
QMS/EMS, TS-16949, & ISO-14001.
Assist in other areas of Company operations, including production activities, as deemed necessary by supervision.
Qualifications:
Shop Math and knowledge of measuring tools. Basic SPC. Ability to read and understand the part engineering drawings. Willingness and ability to follow the rules for a safe workplace. Job Requirements Candidate must experience in automotive manufacturing and have own tools. Previous experience operating an overhead crane and a hi-lo/industrial forklift truck. 2 or more years' experience in tooling and/or die repair in metal. Journeyman's Card would be a plus.
