JOB SUMMARY

The Production Repair Welder will apply knowledge on the assembly process while using expertise to solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework and down-time while effectively repairing defective parts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. The Production Repair Welder will review and follow work instructions to complete the work at hand.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS GESTAMP CHELSEA WELD EVALUATION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure the equipment functions efficiently and that all procedures work correctly 2.

welds on various size parts on production line. 3. Operates welding machines as needed and for making sure all work is done to specification. 4. Complete visual checks to ensure all parts meet quality expectations at all times 5. Complete production requirements while ensuring quality and safety standards are met 6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to 5S 7. Adhere to Team handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies and procedures 8. Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries or accidents occurs immediately 9. Operate Assembly equipment as needed 10. Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED). 2. A minimum of (1) year of experience in a production facility working at times in a high pace environment 3. Experience working in a manufacturing environment for an automotive OEM supplier preferred 4. Completed (1) year of weld training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to read and understand standardized work instructions and inspection sheets. 2. Basic industrial math skills 3. Desire to work in a team-based, lean-manufacturing environment 4. Willingness to travel for training, and as other business needs may dictate 5. Ability and willingness to work any shift, as well as overtime, as required to meet business requirements.
