$21 - $25 SUMMARY The Rotary Press Operator is responsible for efficient and effective operation of the rotary cutting machine while adhering to customer part quality requirements. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills to develop and perform standard work on each part that optimizes the machine's capability while minimizing the amount of required support labor. This involves working closely with Production Engineering to develop or utilize fixtures and tools to reduce production cycle time while meeting quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Sets up and operates the rotary press in accordance with machine setup instructions. Proactively identifies safety issues and resolves them according to Cohesive Components' EHS policies Troubleshoots equipment issues and effectively works with the maintenance team to resolve and prevent issues. Drives preventative maintenance on the equipment and tooling to prevent down time and wear. Follows all quality Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Cross trains other team members to run the equipment. Adheres to the production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Actively engages in Cohesive Components' lean culture by constantly looking for continuous improvement and innovation. Engages in 5S and maintains a clean environment. Ability to work weekday and/or weekend overtime as needed. Ability to stand for an entire shift, lift 45 lbs on a repetitive basis, and perform the physical activities directly related to the position. Completes other duties as assigned by manufacturing leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Specific knowledge of rotary cutting techniques related to the machine, capabilities, and safety requirements. Ability to read and understand part prints and perform basic quality measurements. Effectively communicates both written and orally. Works well cross functionally and strives for premium internal and external customer service. High level of attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Employee must be able to stand for an entire shift, lift 45 pounds on a repetitive basis, and perform the physical activities directly related to the position. Proper lifting techniques required.
