Summary Responsible for operating machines and equipment related to the machining process of aluminum wheels. Machining operators may perform one or more of the functions listed below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follows safety rules 100% of the time. Contributes to a safe work environment by following housekeeping guidelines. Maintains good attendance. Follows instructions and works to meet daily job assignments and KPI's. Completes all required paperwork neatly and in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned or designated. Fine Machine Transfers blanks from blank storage to fine machine cells. Loads, marks and unloads wheels. Visually inspect wheels Gauging Use calibrated go/no-go gauge to check dimensions on a wheel. Decide whether wheel is in/out of tolerance. Visually inspect wheels. Rework any no conforming wheels Load back on conveyor Sorting Move wheels to certain machines to keep the product flowing through the correct machine. Surface Machining Check results of automatic surfacing process. Operate FEMCO machines. Remove wheels from machines. Visually inspect wheels. Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED Six months experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift varying weights Must be able to push or pull carts of wheels. Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required.
