Job Description
Standard Job Description In an effort to promote safety and continuity, all employees of Lincoln Park Die & Tool share common expectations regardless of position.
All employees are expected to:
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through professional communication and behavior with customers, vendors, co-workers and management. Comply with all plant safety procedures and regulations. Think clearly and react quickly to physical dangers. Manage time effectively. Demonstrate communication proficiency. Remain flexible and adaptable. Work assigned schedules; standard hours are generally 6:00am to 4:00pm (hours may vary based on operational needs). Position Summary The Raw Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining raw material inventory and operating cut-steel equipment to ensure quality, accuracy, and continuous flow of steel to forging crews. Essential Functions Monitor quality of saw performance and finished cut steel. Monitor and control scrap levels. Operate and monitor saws and related equipment. Organize, track, and maintain raw material and cut steel inventory. Perform preventative maintenance on saws (e.g., greasing, lubricating). Maintain raw material and cut steel yards, including signage. Maintain work area and equipment; perform housekeeping tasks (sweeping, shoveling) to ensure cleanliness and safety. Receive raw material, verify identification, and ensure proper labeling. Record and input quality inspection information into Plex. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment. Comply with all safety requirements and company policies. Demonstrate situational awareness and respond quickly to safety hazards. Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Clear verbal communication skills Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Basic computer skills Ability to read a tape measure and dial calipers Flexible and adaptable Preferred Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Forging or manufacturing experience preferred Must be able to operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained and certified) Physical Demands Prolonged standing required Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration Ability to use close, distance, peripheral vision, and adjust focusJob Type:
