Job Description
Join Our Team as a Shipping Clerk! Are you a detail-oriented, organized individual with a knack for ensuring things run smoothly? We're looking for a Shipping Clerk to play a key role in ensuring our products reach customers accurately and on time. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for preparing and packaging orders for shipment, pulling materials for production, and etching tools based on customer specifications. You'll also verify the accuracy of each shipment, making sure our customers receive exactly what they need. Shipping Clerks prepare items for shipment as well as vial and label items to be placed in our warehouse, according to company specifications. They also pull material for work orders going to the shop floor to be worked on before shipping to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Rack tools into cleaning boards and perform cleaning duties according to company specifications. Use air hose to dry tools at end of washing cycle. Use buffer on steel shanked tooling. Use steam cleaner to unplug coolant holes on tools for coating. Maintain flow between customer orders and stock orders. Get supplies for Shipping Department. Vial and label tools to put into our warehouse and/or to send to our customers. Review packing lists and wrap orders and consignment to send to our customers. Use UPS and FedEx software to label packages to send out for delivery. WIP work orders into our inventory system. Issue correct tooling to work orders being sent to the production floor. Pull customer orders in preparation for shipment and/or going to the production floor. Etch tooling correctly according to the blueprints provided. Inspect tooling w/blueprints and work orders to ensure customers are receiving correct tools. Maintain 5S and a neat and clean work area. Qualifications/Education/Skills High school diploma or GED; or 3 months related experience and/or training preferred; basic computer skills required; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and training documents; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Equipment Used UPS, FedEx & USPS Computers, Label Machine, Automatic Tape Dispenser, Laser Etching Machine, Ultra Sonic Cleaning Machine, Steam Machine, Buffing Machine Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; regularly bend, twist and lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
