Entry Level Machinist- Experience preferred but will train the right candidate. FLSA Status  Hourly Non-exempt Reports To  Group Leader Education/Experience  High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies  Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting  Ability to lift 50 pounds  Math skills (decimals, fractions)  Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and engineering drawings  Must understand the proper use and limitations of standard inspection measuring and test equipment  Good interpersonal communication skills  Must have vision correctable to 20/20  Ability to distinguish color  Basic computer skills  Good verbal and written communication skills  Must be available for all shifts Responsibility/Authority  Alerting immediate supervisor of any problems in process  Handling parts to prevent damage  Authorized to stop the process upon the detection of a nonconformance or safety issue  Maintaining a neat and orderly work area  Maintaining machines and tooling  Producing quality product and meeting production standards  Completing in-process inspection documentation per established requirements  Training employees as needed Supervisory Responsibilities  None Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
