You review the work queue, select tooling, and set up CNC equipment to run precision jobs. You write or adjust programs, run first articles, and verify close tolerances before releasing work to production. Throughout the shift, you uphold quality for every tooling component you produce and keep your area spotless and safe. Lean thinking guides your moves. You contribute ideas in Elimination of Waste Team meetings and support the company's goals and objectives by driving better flow, less scrap, and reliable output—all while collaborating with teammates in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Support the daily operations of the Tool Room. Set up and program CNC machines for a range of tooling and machine details. Perform machining to tight tolerances and verify conformance. Own the quality of all tooling parts you produce. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and actively participate in Elimination of Waste Team meetings. Advance the company's goals and objectives through continuous improvement. Skills & Knowledge Blueprint literacy appropriate to precision tooling work. Working knowledge of
IATF16949, ISO
14001, and Q1 compliance criteria. Comfort using computers and productivity tools such as calculators and machine control panels. How You Work Thrive in a fast-paced setting and consistently meet production standards. Bring a positive, proactive, problem-solving mindset. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail. Physical Realities of the Job Expect periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and repetitive motions. Excellent manual dexterity; able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work in a manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure. Ability to work necessary overtime when required.
