In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and verifying ingredients to support product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes. Your enthusiasm for culinary innovation and meticulous attention to detail will help ensure our recipes meet all safety, regulatory, and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position has advancement opportunities, such as Blender or other leadership roles. Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. No weekends, no major holidays. Responsibilities Follow step-by-step process to gather raw ingredients. Use simple math skills to handle different weight requirements. Required documentation for every formula, such as weights and lot numbers. Also, records in a daily log. Proficient in navigating the facility to locate raw ingredients, equipment and tools. Retrieval of 50/55 pounds bags/boxes from shelving throughout the entire day. Gatherer will need to be able to lift and carry these weights. Assists in stocking inventory (raw ingredients) as needed. Adheres to hygienic practices and food safety protocols. Gatherer will handle allergens and follow strict sanitization procedures.
Equipment and tools used:
floor scales, stock drums, utility knife, scoops, dust collector, respirator, ladders, pallets, and pallet jack. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Collect and compile recipes from multiple sources, including internal teams, suppliers, and external partners Verify recipe accuracy by cross-checking ingredient lists, measurements, and preparation steps Ensure recipes comply with FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant safety standards Organize recipes systematically within digital databases for easy access and retrieval Collaborate with manufacturing and packaging teams to confirm recipe specifications align with production capabilities Assist in updating and maintaining recipe documentation to reflect process improvements or regulatory changes Support quality assurance by reviewing recipes for consistency and completeness before production Requirements Culinary education a major plus but not required. Chef or any professional cooking level experience helpful. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a food warehouse role is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift packages weighing up to 55 pounds. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Willingness to adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.
