General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Production Worker to join our team in the Cabinets department. This role involves building the insides of signs using various tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and able to perform medium to heavy lifting while assembling and palletizing shipments. Responsibilities Utilize hand tools and drills to build the insides of signs. Operate a nail gun and hand power tools efficiently. Perform medium to heavy lifting tasks as required. Assemble and palletize shipments accurately. Perform pulling, packing, and loading duties. Work independently and collaboratively with a team. Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills. Maintain attention to detail in all tasks. Essential Skills 1+ year of machine operator experience in manufacturing, specifically in assembly work. Proficiency in using a tape measure and power drill. Ability to lift 20lbs to 40lbs comfortably. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a warehouse environment, where large signs and parts are being developed or prepared for shipment. The facility is clean and expansive, divided into various areas including manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing. Note that the temperature is not controlled, with cooler conditions in winter and hotter conditions in summer. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and t-shirts, with safety glasses and hearing protection provided. Steel-toed boots are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
