Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in Wyandotte, MI. This role is ideal for someone with assembly, inspection, production, or manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work in a structured production environment. As an Assembly Associate, you will help ensure finished products meet quality standards by performing inspections, basic assembly tasks, data entry, material movement, and routine equipment checks. This opportunity offers consistent overnight hours, a team-focused environment, and the chance to contribute to an efficient manufacturing operation with supportive leadership and clear expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products for defects and complete minor assembly and finishing work.
- Record inspection results and production data accurately in electronic systems.
- Use measuring tools, gauges, rulers, and small hand tools to verify product specifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and PPE requirements at all times.
- Assist with routine equipment checks, minor troubleshooting, and equipment changeovers.
- Move inspected materials to designated staging areas and maintain a clean, organized work area. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $17.50 per hour.
Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.- Job type: Contract, temporary.
Location:
Wyandotte, MI. Required Qualifications and Skills- Inspect finished products and identify quality defects.
- Perform basic assembly, finishing, and production support tasks.
- Record production and inspection data in electronic systems.
- Use measuring tools and small hand tools to complete detailed inspections.
- 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing, production, assembly, or inspection experience preferred.
- Stable work history with at least 1 year at previous positions.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods while performing detailed tasks.
- Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience using measurement tools such as rulers and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and good visual acuity.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
