Machine Operator Job Description This entry-level position involves working with laser or waterjet machines to cut wood used in creating rotary and flat dies. The role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in machining, and training will be provided. Candidates should be comfortable with lifting up to 75 pounds and have a good understanding of rulers and measurements. Responsibilities Operate laser or waterjet machines to cut wood for rotary and flat dies. Lift and load wood materials weighing up to 75 pounds into machines. Maintain accuracy in measurements and cuts. Ensure safe and efficient machine operation. Essential Skills 6+ months of machine operation experience Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly Proficiency with rulers and measurements Trainable with a strong desire to learn Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with blueprints Familiarity with laser operation General computer skills Mechanical aptitude Experience in manufacturing environments Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large, clean, and organized production shop that is well-lit and temperature-controlled. The environment smells like burning wood and glue and hosts about 20-25 people on the production floor. Everything is highly trainable, and you will be working on the 1st shift with hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
