The Extrusion Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of a polymer extrusion line used to create tubing for Production, New Product Introduction, and New Product Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all aspects of the polymer extrusion line, including but not limited to; set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow. Work with Production personnel, New Product Introduction, and New Product Development to ensure extruded tubing meets requirements and make adjustments as required. Provide guidance and assistance on extrusion processes and process characterization. Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ). Work with Quality and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products. Other assignments as requested.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering/related field or Minimum 5 years' experience in hands on extrusion of medical grade tubing Minimum 5 years' experience in a Medical Device manufacturing environment Minimum 1 year of CAD design Must possess good organizational skills Must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing extrusion projects Must possess good verbal and written communication skills Biomerics offers the following benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, and 401k.
