Job Description
Job Overview Lallemand Bio-Ingredients USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packaging 50 lb. bags to meet quality standards and production goals. You will ensure all packaging processes are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Work Schedule This role follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off) This schedule provides extended time off, allowing for a balanced work-life experience to pursue personal interests and relaxation. Responsibilities Operate and monitor packaging equipment to prepare products for shipment while following all safety protocols. Safely use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods. Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and comply with FDA regulations and GMP standards. Accurately document packaging activities, including batch numbers, quantities, and inspection results. Adhere to all safety procedures diligently, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and established safety guidelines. Qualifications Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in packaging operations with the ability to lift 50# bags. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Basic math skills for accurate measuring, counting, and data recording. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable manufacturing standards. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
