Shipping & Receiving Technician Litchfield, MN Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Shipping & Receiving for our Litchfield, MN processing location. This position is primarily responsible for working in the cooler shipping palletized cartons and crates of our eggs to vendors and customers, and also working in the warehouse receiving product packaging and other supplies, and counting inventory. May assist with other projects and duties as needed. Working hours include some weekend and holiday hours to meet customer requirements. Must have excellent work ethic and be extremely reliable and punctual.

Position Responsibilities:

Follow all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMPAble to count accurately and learn automated inventory systemSet up work area and prepare for the dayInspect, receive and document all incoming trailers for cleanliness, pests, odors and sealsSet outgoing refrigerated trailers to the correct temperatureLoad and seal pre-cooled trailers with finished productAssign loads to driversMaintain organization and cleanliness of cooler and warehouseInspect, receive and document all incoming loads of packaging materials and suppliesUnload deliveries into cooler and warehouseCheck and accurately document inventory daily in cooler and in warehouseOperate electric pallet jack; drive fork liftMove trailers using company yard dogHelp team members with other duties as needed throughout the day

Requirements:

(knowledge, experience, skills, education)Experience operating ride-on pallet jack and forkliftAble to lift approximately 80 pounds from height of 2 feet to 5 feet and lift 50 pounds from 6 feet to ground levelAble to maintain a fast pace for up to 3 hours continuallyAble to work in both cold and very hot environments Requires year-round work including outdoors, in cooler, in warehouse, in cooled trailers and in very hot trailers during summer monthsGood verbal communication skills and the ability to develop professional rapport with a diverse group of drivers and co-workersAbility to communicate verbally and verify documents in EnglishMust be dependable and be able to work flexible hours any day of the week, including weekends and holidaysRequires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
