Saw Operator Lonsdale, MN $23.00 per hour 1st and 3rd Shift available ASAP! Job Responsibilities for
Saw Operator:
Safely set up and operate t 2 automated component saw. Cut and label dimensional lumber used in wall-panel production, including plates, headers, cripples, jacks, fillers, and other wall components. Keep the department organized and ensure material is cut in the correct order to keep production lines full and moving. Review production schedules, cut reports, component lists, labels, and measurements. Verify that the correct lumber species, size, grade, treatment, and length are being used. Monitor cut accuracy, measurements, labeling, and material quantities. Prevent overcutting, incorrect cuts, and unnecessary material waste.
Required Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong English communication skills Previous saw-operation, manufacturing, lumber, wall-panel, or construction experience. Leadership experience or the ability to direct and hold a small team accountable. Ability to identify dimensional lumber from 2×4 through 2×12. Ability to identify SPF, treated lumber, FRT lumber, and other specialty materials. Ability to read lumber stamps, labels, measurements, cut reports, and production schedules.
