M-F About the Role This position runs processing machines, which include laser and press brakes to fabricate parts according to work order instructions. Responsibilities Load and unload machines Operate machines to cut parts and form parts Responsible for checking the quality of the parts by measuring with a tape measure and visually inspecting parts Remove parts from the machine and stack parts according to the job order Keep work area clean Conduct routine maintenance on machines as needed Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by the supervisor and coworkers Execute additional tasks as needed Experience CNC press brake and laser experience preferred 1-3 months of relevant experience preferred Skills Resourceful, problem-solving, able to prioritize and multitask Detail oriented and organized Able to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humor Team player with a positive attitude Self-motivated and work independently with minimum supervision Unshakeable integrity Physical Demands Position requires approximately 5% sitting, 45% walking and 50% standing. The ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms on a continual basis is required. The position requires the ability to climb or balance as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on an occasional basis. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words. Position has no special vision requirements. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required. Jobholders are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the risk of electrical shock on an occasional basis. Position is exposed to loud noise (e.g., metal manufacturing, powder coating, assembly, etc.) MEIs 50+ years in the elevator industry gives us an unparalleled ability to handle both custom and standard elevator projects with ease.
