About the Role Do you have strong mechanical skills and are able to manage multiple responsibilities at once? Are you solution-oriented and have strong attention to detail? Castle Pierce is in growth mode and is seeking an experienced flexo press operator. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a flexo press. You will ensure that all printed material is in conformance to specifications, print is consistent, and all quality standards are met. You will be responsible for setting up, continuous monitoring, feeding material and adjusting ink throughout a run all while keeping a focus on speed to market. Responsibilities Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects Set and adjust speed, temperature, ink flow, and positions and pressure tolerances of equipment. Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, color sequences, and anilox BCM Select and install printing plates, rollers, feed guides, and cylinders, in machines according to specifications, using hand tools. Pour or spread ink, color compounds, and other materials into reservoirs, troughs, hoppers, or color holders of printing units, making measurements and adjustments to control PH and viscosity. Blend and test inks, and solvents according to types of material being printed and work order specifications. Clean and lubricate printing machines and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, rags and hoses. Monitor and control operation of auxiliary equipment to assemble and finish products. Daily/weekly maintenance on equipment as per log Other duties as assigned.
