Fermentation Operator Needed! (Opportunity to gain boilers license)

Weekly Pay:

$25.00/hr Job Description As a Fermentation Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and overseeing the fermentation process. This includes cleaning, sterilizing, and monitoring fermentation vessels and equipment, handling warehousing tasks, and performing maintenance duties.

Schedule:

6:00AM-4:00PM Wednesday-Saturday ($2 extra pay on Saturdays once hire on) Responsibilities Conduct sterilization of fermentation vessels and equipment that make ingredients for vitamins. Weigh and blend ingredients accurately to ensure quality fermentation. Monitor fermentation parameters to maintain optimal conditions. Disassemble and clean centrifuge, while monitoring its parameters. Disassemble and clean spray dryer, ensuring process parameters are adhered to. Perform warehousing tasks such as loading/unloading trucks, conducting inventories, and preparing shipments. Carry out maintenance tasks including disassembling, reassembling, and lubricating pumps, valves, piping, motors, and equipment. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude with strong mechanical inclination. Experience in food production, machine operation, and fermentation processes. Ability to work in a hot environment around boilers and hot tanks. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Willingness to work flexible hours and stay until the job is complete. Mature and responsible with steady work experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Join a small manufacturing facility with a close-knit team of 25 employees. Expect to wear multiple hats and perform various functions beyond the standard job description. The facility is not climate-controlled, leading to hot summers and cold winters, with potential for dusty conditions. PPE is provided for safety, and frequent breaks are encouraged to ensure well-being. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
