Job Description :
Operate, adjust and maintain stick packing equipment, snus pouching equipment and dry blending equipment Job Duties/Responsibilities Measuring and adding ingredients Maintaining sanitation of all packaging equipment Prepares samples for analysis Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to do regular bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50 pounds) with or without limited reasonable accommodation Some chemical handling using appropriate PPE as part of the production process Maintain inventory records Schedule runs to maintain a smooth production flow Responsible for production of the product within set standards and be able to recognize and correct any variances outside of the set standards Must be capable of troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and take necessary corrective action to get the process back on-line Ensure all equipment is maintained and working properly at peak efficiency Monitor workplace safety environment to identify and address any unsafe conditions Capable of working on day to day tasks with minimal supervision Make suggestions for the continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility Capable of following directives both written and verbal without alteration unless receiving prior endorsement from a manager Train and lead, as well as communicate effectively with all co-workers Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications - High School diploma or
G.E.D. 3
to 5 years of manufacturing experience or working in a high-speed production environment Experience with food safety plans Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery Ability to be an on-shift resource for troubleshooting problems in the process as well as maintenance issues Ability to make independent, effective decisions Possess ability to be a self-directed team player Ability to communicate effectively and adjust communication style based on audience Flexibility to work different/multiple shifts within reason
