Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machine Operator to join our operations team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment, ensuring parts meet precise specifications, and supporting production through accurate, efficient work.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, turning centers, and machining centers Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering or production teams as needed Perform trial runs to verify machine setup and accuracy Perform routine machine maintenance as required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience operating manual machining equipment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong math skills and understanding of measurements and tolerances Ability to use measuring tools and inspection equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving ability Time management and organization Sense of urgency and ability to meet production deadlines Strong communication skills
